Re: AGA web site -- discontent over content

So far I haven't seen anyone ask that AGA maintain forums.
They seem, by and large, to want a single definitive place
to go for reference info. I note, though, that RPH jumped
right in there with a plug -- definite sign of the
sensitivity we discussed, imo.

That's my take on the handfull of posts that have come in
on APD so far.

I think it's great to have one of the Web-AGA locations be
"The Randall Library." If I had any part in inspiring that
effort, any at all, along with the surgery, the business
web site, Cheryl's art and craft, not to mention the
pressing need, well, I'm delighted.

Having links to other sites might be even harder to keep
up-to-date than articles. Can we find a volunteer to be
librarian -- to keep and eye on when the stuff seems
"stale" and needs an edit to bring it back to currency --
and then charmingly prod the author(s) into doing it? I
think that would be a very part time job. And probably a
thankless one, too.

If we use "Stranded" stuff, possibly we might not limit
ourselves to just the ones from TAG. What if, anyone thinks
there's an unusually helpful discussion on APD then they
mention it -- I'd be willing to pull it together, snip the
loose hairs, etc. for the web site. I'm sure Blanche would
be willing to pitch in too ;-) the snipping isn't the hard
part of that job anyway.

A really good, well edited Barr piece would be good. Tom
could get back to his studies and folks could just point
when someone pleas, "Algae help".

There have been a couple here and there but the structure
has been more along Tom's conversational style.
