Re: Question regarding preferences for hotel negotiations

Sure thing.

There are a number of ways that it could go. Service fees,
rooms fees, roomnight rates.

The best overall deal is what everyone wants. The question
is, other things being equal, isthere a preference?

Other might not be equal. Larry got a great room rate at a
nice hotel and then had the service fees on a sliding scale
tied to roomnights rented. But really this stuff is
offered as a package. You try to settle one thing and then
go after the other. But of course, the hotel will always
try to resist that. There is definitely skill involved.

We'll see what they come up with. I just wondered about the
'druthers.
