Thing is, we didn't offer the books to the general membership like we're planning to do with the T-shirts. The books were designed as a convention-only thing, available only on the convention page, and delivered TO the convention. What I hear being suggested here is having the T-shirts available to the general membership for $15 (which sounds great), but then ALSO being used as a convention draw by offering them cheaper as part of convention registrations (which I don't really understand -- they're not really convention shirts, are they?). I also have a problem with us (the board) making decisions that are essentially part of the convention process, as opposed to being in a support position.
