On way to do that is to call the group the AGA Advisory
Committee of AGA Advisory Group, etc.  

I haven't found the AGA lacking for ideas so much as labor
to develop and execute them. Calls for volunteers bring us
suggestions but not much in the way of effort. If the
participation is just ideas, then I can see that helping
AGA's image as a participatory organization. Reason enough
to do it, imo. And it might enhance word-of-mouth. But it
might not bring much else in terms of changes or projects.

Otoh, the more people in the tent, the more likely that
something's gonna happen. ;-)
