OK, I'm glad you've talked with him too. > I don't think it's necessarily a good thing to offer board positions just > because someone's been around for a while. I wasn't sure whether it was reluctance to get more heavily involved, or simply a matter of waiting to be asked. > Larry, on the other hand, though even less officially tied to AGA > management, has been invaluable in the last convention, and has > volunteered help on the current one (which he didn't have any vested > interested other than as an AGA member). No question that Larry has paid his dues. > Just my observations. I REALLY like that idea. The only thing we'll have to be careful of is make sure that group knows they are there in an advisory capacity, and that all final decisions are made by the BOD. If that group is ONLY open to representatives of member clubs plus our handful of non-BOD worker-bees, it should be a nice perk for those clubs. And it will also give a us a place where we can watch for the cream to rise to the top.<g> Karen _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
