I didn't reply to this post before, because I didn't really know what to think about it and wanted to wait until other people had a chance to speak.

BUT

I have a spy report from DFWAPC. Ricky sez *he* approached Tom Barr about getting a discount for DFWAPC members and after they dickered back and forth awhile, and Tom agreed, Tom started offering other clubs (like AGA, I presume) the same deal. Ricky laughed it off but I could tell he was a little peeved that Tom *stole* his idea/initiative. Plus, it rather dilutes the "special discount" pool when you offer it to everyone.

Tom is offering DFWAPC members a discount on membership, only $8.95 rather than $12.95.

Hi Tom,

Just got back from Brazil today, so I haven't been ignoring you! I've forwarded your suggestion to the BOD.

Hi Karen,
Sorry I have not gotten back to you about the EI article for AP.
Or was it the N article?
hehe, I'm scattered brained:)
Well more than normal......

Anyway, I'm looking for an idea for my front page of the BarrReport and
nothing came to mind for some time now.
Well, I figure the best thing I can do is help others so why not focus on non profit clubs that support the hobby? I'm nowe able to give back so I'll
offer any one that is a member of the AGA, GWAPA, etc a discounted rate
starting in Mar or April. Depends on when Greg can set the system up to
accept the codes.
I would place the AGA banner up on the front page folks go to when they
click on it. Only non profit plant clubs will be on this page.

I also have been rather careful about posting and adding things we do not have permission for. That is another issue for me. Being private, the site cannot be right clicked for the images in the gallery by anyone else other
than a member. While not 100% effective , it will greatly reduce the
pirating.

So if this sounds like something the AGA might be inetrested in, I'd love
to support the AGA and proudly display the banner.

also, do you folks have the AGA contract? Can you send the doc version to
Jim:
Jiml1029@aol.com

We will be discussing it at the general SFBAAPS meeting this Sat.

Take care,

Tom very busy Barr
