As far as the space on the back of the beginner's manual, I think that's fine.
I DON'T think we should ask SF to chip in for two reasons. First and formost, I don't want one tiny bit of their attention on anything but the convention. Second, I think we can afford to do this on our own, and I think it gives a clearer message that this is OUR project/publication if we pay for it in the entirety.
