It means all the money we spend that is not directly for a specific item. Pamphlets, are one example. They aren't a direct cost of Producing TAG but they are a cost of operation, the purpose of which is, in part, to produce TAG. We don't have a lot of revenues like that, but we have a lot of expenses like that. Office expenses are another. If anything, the number I calculated for overheads allocated to TAG is low, because a large portion of postage and delivery (an office expenses overhead) is for delivery of TAG outside or regular mailing (i.e., that we mail ourselves instead of through the commercial mailers). Especially in a year when we did not produce a convention, the bulk of our expenditures were directly or indirectly connected to TAG, which financially is the Big Kahuna in our operations. sh ----- Original Message ---- From: Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@wilstream.com> To: Aquatic Gardeners Association Board <aga-sc@thekrib.com> Sent: Monday, May 29, 2006 8:43:08 AM Subject: Re: [AGA-sc] Foreign vs US Memberships -- 2nd Draft What does overheads mean? c S.
