Re: [AGA-sc] proposal for walk-in rate

I don't think we should drop the membership requirement for AGA2K6 because
we've had a membership requirement thus far for AGA2K6.

I don't want to charge a fee based on how a person arrives at the convention,
walking, rickshaw, limo, goodyear blimp, whatever.

If we charge a late fee, we should charge it to everyone that is late. If you
want the cutoff date to be Nov 9, that's fine. If you want to shut off the web
registration on Nov 10, that's fine.

If we don't charge a late fee, that's fine too, so long as we don't charge it
to everyone.

In any event we should not end or drop or reduce the registration fee for
AGA2K6 from $59.

RE cutoffs oand reasons for them, the hotel has a cutoff date for banq count --
but it's reductions that are harder to deal with there than addtions.

I'm a little confused by your reply, please clarify.

You're saying you think we should drop the late fee entirely -- but do you
mean online reg late fee after October 12, or walk-in fee?

What about the idea of charging an extra $20 for walk-ins but dropping the
membership requirement on the walk-ins? i.e., it's basically the same
deal, but it doesn't look like it from the walk-in's perspective.
