  Erik,

Considering we are using one of their conference rooms, are bringing folks in
to stay in their hotel, etc., can't they just provide us with a screen at no
additional cost?

My wife does trainings year round in California hotels for her business. When
I mentioned the charge for the screen, she thought charging us was ridiculous.
I realize you have folks on the board who have experience dealing with your
convention needs and, more importantly, dealing with the hotel concerning those
needs. Perhaps one of those folks could speak with the hotel and get them to
provide the screen at no charge?

If you feel this isn't possible, my wife suggested she could give it a shot
and secure the screen. Let me know how you want to proceed.

If you can secure the projectors...great. If not, and you are still short of
a back up, I'll definately get one from my wife's office.

  Michael

P.S. Seems like you brought some SFBAAPS folks out of the woodwork with that
flap over trying to sign onto our list. Too bad it takes a threat to their
"manhood" to get them involved. I haven't seen any more posts since, so I don't
know if they are still around or have crawled back under the covers.

   Hi Michael,

  Thanks for checking in!

I'd say get the screen whatever is most convenient to you. We'd almost
definitely save getting it from an A/V rental place over the hotel, but this is
often enough of a hassle that they have just rented it from the hotel.

I beleive we have at least one projector from Karen, and possibly a second
from Larry, but if you can still get one from your wife or SVAS, that would
help out immensely. I will also ask about a long SVGA cable (I think both Karen
and Larry have one).

  Thanks again,

  - Erik
