I never really look at the eggs, unless by accident, so I can't comment on if white is good or bad, though I have had hatches from semi-opaque-white eggs. I tend to just judge when spawning has occurred by behaviour. However the other week, I had A. cacatuoides at 78F accompanying just free swimmers after 8 days from spawning. A good indicator if she thinks here eggs are still viable is she will keep her bright yellow body colour, if that tones down then her mothering response is gone with the eggs.
