Thanks everyone for your kind help, I think it was the anabantoid that I remember reading about, but all the fish mentioned will be researched:-) I should have mentioned that the snails are in with a couple of discus, so I think the convicts are out:-^ Could anybody help with the others re: discus? I know about the loaches and I'm pretty familiar with keyholes - they play rather rough for discus don't they? How about the Therops? I have a suspicion that not ALL blue rams will be as endearing as the blue one mentioned lol;-)))) Thanks once again Colin >From: "Helen Burns" <helen.burns@bigwig.net> >Reply-To: apisto@majordomo.pobox.com >To: <apisto@majordomo.pobox.com> >Subject: Re: Snail eaters >Date: Fri, 24 Mar 2000 10:56:27 -0000 > >There's also a species of Anabantoid which eats snails but cannot remember >which species I'm afraid. >Helen > > Loaches, particularily Clown Loaches, they do the best job but most of >the > > botia species will eat snails. > > Clowns will wipe out all the snails in your tank, if you get enough of >them > > and give them time. > > > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------- >This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com. >For instructions on how to subscribe or unsubscribe or get help, >email apisto-request@listbox.com. >Search http://altavista.digital.com for "Apistogramma Mailing List >Archives"! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com.
