Related to my last post and some of the on-going posts on ponds: Our new property has a natural pond that was originally 2 + acres but is now less than .5 acres. The water table has dropped over the years and the water level dropped with it. The level is so low that it fish won't survive the winter in it. We hope to work with local Dept. of Natural Resources personnel to pump the remaining water, aquascape the area and populate the pond/feeder stream with fish. As the pond is no longer spring fed, we will have to artificially maintain the water level and circulation. I am guessing that many of you have experience in creating outdoor ponds. As with the previous post, this is kind of off topic. Any help/referrals for information on this area will be greatly appreciated (on or off-list).
