i think the initial question was about keeping corys with apisto fry because 
the keeper was concerned about keeping the bottom clean of excess food.  

i'm not sure i understand this problem.  if you keep your fry with the 
parents, that wouldn't be a problem as apistos are very good at picking food 
from the bottom, just like corys.  if you are not keeping the fry with 
parents, i think snails could be another alternative.
