Re: Apistogramma photography ...

Simone , Ray and some others...........my head is swelling.....thanks for
the complements.

My web page is http://geocities.com/RainForest/4327

My equipment is as follows: Nikon N-70/Nikon 105mm Micro lens/Nikon SB 28
flash unit/ a $20 "slave" flash unit.......folks, the most important of all
of the equipment is the $20 "slave" flash.........it has a sensor that sets
it off when another flash goes off..................giving twice the light
(and from the angle you want).........quite frankly the Nikon unit was a
birthday present from my wife and she got a little pricey..........but SUPER
stuff...........but that slave flash is the key. I've seen a buddy of mine
use a camera flash and 2 or 3 of the slave units. aside from the slave units
just have patients............BIG TIME.

But if you really want to know what I know, go to
http://geocities.com/NapaValley/5491 and read his articles on
photography and enjoy his photos.........Vinny Kutty is a great friend of
mine that moved from
Tampa to LA several years ago, and he taught me everything I know......I had
floundered for
years until I watched him work......and his results. First of all he has
the patients of a saint.......you should see the length he goes to settle
the fish down and be "normal" and spots on the glass and the clarity of the
water and the plants and driftwood.........but the use of slave flashes is
tremendous. I can't say enough about Vinny....he has had
several dozed photos published in the monthly fish magazines and he had a
tremendous article/pictures in the Cichlid News......Jan. of this year
(2000). Folks go to his site and read about taking
photos...............Vinny is a great guy and tolerates the most simple
questions...........I asked them all. Look at the quality of his web page
and make him a friend, maybe you could say "hi" to him at the ACA 2000 in
Cleveland.

Trust me I just put into practice what Vinny taught me............but if you
folks have any questions feel free to e-mail me personal........to the rest
of you guys that aren't interested in taking photos I apologize for the
lengthy message here!!!!
