RE: Serious question about E. coli

In Scotland there have been several fatal outbreaks of E. coli 0157. Most
have been traced to poor hygiene in food preparation, with the worst
outbreak occurring by cross contamination via handling cooked and raw meet
in a butchers shop.

By all accounts it is one of the worst of the "food poising bugs", and if I
remember correctly the liver and kidneys are the worst affected organs.
Unlike the "it gives you runs" type of bugs you do not develop any
resistance to this nasty.
