I honestly have to say that it's been a very long time since I 
bred A. borellii so my answer is more general. Most apistos 
I have bred, I have been able to sex at quite a young age/small 
size so the Atlanta-breeders/wholesalers shouldn't be any
different. The black in the pelvic fins is usually a good
marking, others can be black in the dorsal, black markings
on the belly and cheeks, basically yellow body colour.
