Re: rams and cloudy water

Rams, like many other species, need a set range of water parameters to spawn, 
and a tighter set of parameters to tend their fry.  It does appear that 
certain bloodlines of rams have lost the parental instinct.  Most of the 
folks succeeding on this list have fish from wild or German stock.

The cloudiness may be from dirt in the gravel.  It could also be a bacterial 
bloom.  If the fish are healthy, don't worry about it.  It will go away 
eventually.
