My question could seem a strange one... Obviously I mean what's wrong with ammonium(Nh4) in a pH=6? I have just spawned a couple of gold rams in water with 6 mg/l of ammonium. The fish are OK, so I wonder what's wrong with that if we keep care in mantaining that water's pH under 6. Everyone knows that this ammonium level would become a close to death ammonia level in a neutral to slightly basic water. If we have a tank with no biological filtration, and we keep the water really acid, what ammonium level could the fish stand? Just wondering... Amer Salamanca.
