I think that a main attraction (at least for me) is the uniqueness or rareness of such a color sport. I doubt that very many people will say that an albino color morph is prettier than the regular variety. However, some colors can be seen differently without dark pigmentation around it. Secondly, the study of the genetics of albinism can be interesting in itself. Why are albino kribs easy to find, when a closely related species such as P. taeniatus is impossible to find? No one is claiming that albinos are better, just different and unique. I'll bet many of you naysayers would plunk down $50 to own the first documented A. cacatuoides, not because it was pretty, but because no one else has one. Perhaps it is the Dr. Frankenstein in me, but establishing a new color strain of a species of fish is quite fun.
