Hi Frode, First of all congratulation on obtaining Iniradae, they're not readily available. I also found them to be finicky eaters, they had the same requirements as the D. Filamentosa, to your point, they both LOVED baby brine but after an acclimation period ( a couple of weeks)they both took live daphnia, live brine shrimp and chopped up black worms. I make my own paste food, which all my other apistos love but the filamentosa & Iniradae wouldn't touch it. . I found that feeding just baby brine doesn't have any adverse effect.. it's just too expensive to feed all the time. Try live Brine shrimp & chopped black worms, also I'm surprised that they won't eat live daphnia, this would concern me! Could they have internal parasites? that's the only time I've experienced apistos eating just small amount/very small pieces. Also, What's your water temperature? they love it on the 80 degree range and soft / acid water. I hope this was of some help good luck with them. sal ----------------------------------------------------- Click here for Free Video!! http://www.gohip.com/free_video/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Frode Johansen <frode.johansen@bio.uio.no> To: <apisto@listbox.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2001 9:28 AM Subject: Food problems > Hi. > I have four juvenile A. inirida that won't eat anything else than live baby > brine shrimps. > I want this guys to grow to mature size (of course), and I don't think they > will grow fast enough on just BBS.
