RE: Black face

Eric - I recall seeing that same effect on a brietbinden I had at one time.
I attributed it to stress. As I recall, it did not correlate to any other
problems I had with the fish. I did eventually loose it, but not to this.
I also recall seeing it on a particular Viejita CF II I had at one time. I
have not seen it since on other Viejitas.

Subject: Black face

Hello all,
Yesterday my A. sp. "Brietbinden" spawned. After they spawned the
half of
the males face turned dark brown, almost black. The color is split exactly
right down the middle of his face. If you are looking at him head on it is
the right side (his left). He also has some sort of bump on his head. It is
not a cut or a sore, just a bump (maybe he hit his head on the PVC pipe
while spawning?). The rest of him is the normal color, he is acting normal,
his fins are not clamped or anything like that. Does anyone know if this
half black face it typical in the "Brietbinden"?

Thanks,
Eric
