This IMHO is real overkill.  Get a TDS meter.  Add "water to" to bag with
"water from" so the change in the bag is no more then 25%.  So if "water to"
has TDS 80 and "water from" has TDS 800, increments would be 600, 450, 337,
etc. until "water to" is within "water from" plus or minus the 25% change.  At
that point it is safe to move the fish from the bag to the tank.  You might
have to dump some water from the bag along the way.  TDS is linear so that if
you know the volume of the bag and were you are trying to go you can guestimate
the volume to add pretty close. (Makes great practice if you have teeners
taking algebra).  I have even seen people on the killie list claim that doing
this with 50% increments works for killies.  I use 25%.
