I believe (and this is from memory, which usually works, but not always)
someone on that thread said that vodka was the best (as cheap vodka is
cheap), but to avoid whiskey and stick to the clear stuff.  I don't know
if that would make gin and light rum ok to use or not.  Quite frankly,
I'm sure that any of them would work, but some would probably be
quicker/more "humane" than others.
