Re: apisto longevity (and Oops ...)



My last apisto collected in Peru in July 1996 died in January 2001, 4.5 years later.
It was a female Apistogramma bitaeniata. When collected, it was too small for me
to recognize as a bitaeniata, probably 1 cm or less. Her mate, a gorgeous large
male died several months earlier. Both of them suffered from bent backs with age
and lost weight in the months before they died.
