Hi all, I am going to ship out a pair of A. cacatuoides "Triple Red" to someone tomorrow. So I put the pair in one of those floating live bearer boxes this evening so they wouldn't get any food when I feed the rest of tank. You know, clear plastic boxes where you put the female guppy in when she is about to give birth and the babies fall through a plastic grate to the bottom where the female can't eat them. Anyway, it has a divider so I put the divider in and had the male on one side and the female on the other. Just before going to bed I checked on them and they had spawned! Some of the eggs are on the divider, but a lot of them fell to the bottom. I wonder if the male was able to fertilize them? How can I tell if the eggs are fertilized? I knew she was ready to spawn but I didn't think she would do it after being netted and through in a small box! I just thought this was humorous, Eric ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eric Martina University of Illinois Electrical Engineering ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com.
