Re: CO2 leak

Dave is correct !

If the bottle is not empty by now, shut off the main valve first !

Remove the Regulator and the Main Valve,
clean the threads of any rest / residue of existing
teflon tape, etc.
All threads have to be cleared and clean!!!!!!!
Go to your nearest Home Depot, etc. and
get some WHITE TEFLON TAPE !
Apply on every thread 2-3 layers of tape and
put the set back together !
Open the main valve slowly, apply some dish/soap water,
check if you see some "bubbling"
If yes, close the main valve and and start over again !
Now open all other valves and apply the soap water !
No bubbling fine ! You are set !
Check the tubing as well !
Did you use CO2 resistant tubing ?
Others will crack and leak over time (I'm not going into details here)

Well, Chris, since the bottle is half empty/half full by now,
you may get a refill anyway, so you did not get hit by
an empty bottle on the weekend and your PH goes ballistic !

Prost !

I would start with the teflon tape since it is the cheapest and easiest.  Wrap the threaded end at least 3 times.  Mix a little liquid dish soap with some water and apply around the fitting to see if it is still leaking.  If doesn't bubble, you're all set. Good luck

Subject: CO2 leak
I need some experienced plant people to help me out here.  My threaded connections between my regulator, solenoid, and valve for my CO2 are leaking.  I turned the CO2 off, but need to fix it soon.  Does teflon tape or the puddy stuff work better, or are there other ways to stop the leak?
