Since we are on the topic of feeding small fry I thought I would add my experiences. For Rams I like to use microworms and bbs for the first 2-3 days. I will keep adding a little for up to a 2 weeks for a little something extra and for any smaller ones lagging behind. I have been using the APR by mixing a little with water in a dish and then using a turkey baster to feed it directly to the shoal of fry. I caution folks about water quality for the benefit of the beginners. Many of us should have no reservations with this. I say this because rasing fry is probably the most challenging aspect of fish breeding when we begin. I also begin feeding flake food early on by crushing some and mixing it with water and feeding it with the turkey baster too. I like to get them on good quality flaje food early so the take it as adults. I have hjad good success with Sanders brand very high quality and the fish like the smell and evidently the taste. Misc. I have also used Golden pearls and the cyclop eeze like the APR I would mix it in water well and then feed it with a turkey baster. I had excellent results with both foods but the Golden pearls you have to be carefull not to overfeed. I also have very good success rearing young Apistos on decpas. Right now I am using allot of Daphnia after I start the fry on bbs for the first month.
