Re: CO2 Usage Question
Hi Jerry,
I think we're all very familiar with your dilemma.I haven't even scratched
the surface of all the fish I like to keep and breed:).
3-4sec/bubble that sounds like you're not getting much CO2 in your tank.I
run my system at about 2-3 bubbles /sec in a 75g tank.I use one of those
sinter glass diffusers. No heating cables or anything like that.Hey ,I
entered a low tech Apisto tank for this years AGA contest.I just can't get a
decent aquascape going in my 75g.I just let everything grow to a jungle and
trim it back once a month. The fish don't seem to care:).I'm more of a fish
then a plant guy,but always liked the looks of a planted tank.Fish photos
also look better with plants in the background.I don't have bare tanks for
photography reasons.Maintenance seems to be the same bare or planted.
Have a great wekend
Max

Hi Max,
I run mine through an Eheim filter. I check to see how many bubbles I
get.
Usually I get 1 every 3-4 seconds. It stays that way pretty much for 2 wks.
Then I change it. I love the plants but, don't see myself as going out and
getting underground heater cables and the whole 9 yards. My plants come out
pretty good. I probably wouldn't be able to enter a contest with my tank
but,
I really need to concentrate on what I enjoy the most, the fish. I tell you
I've seen so many different dwarfs that I really like. Not just apistos
but,
many others too. But, I need to go slow my old brain doesn't absorb like it
use to. I take a lot of notes nowadays.
