Re: advertising

Mike......and everyone else.......please......I am not the sky-marshal or
the e-mail police here: but there have been several times in the past where
people used this list to further their "profit making
adventures"..................the list got ugly because so-and-so says this
and didn't do this and owes me money and his place isn't worth doodle and
his fish die and I never got my money back from so-and-so and........it gets
REAL UGLY.........do you see the point?.............let me make the point
that maybe I sell "small-celled" sponges........you just stepped on my foot
because of a "profit" motive not a belief motive.........there is a huge
difference! We seem to have been doing super by indirectly saying things
like....."hey the BBshrimp hatch from ABC Supplies is super, you ought to
get some"........but we are sticking our necks out big time when we say
...."I sell this and that" ........or put advertising in our sig. lines. I
know that free advertising is the "American way" and all of that......we
have the right to advertise where we can and all of those arguments......but
there are rules of this list that need to be followed or we all loose.

It's a tough call Mike......and here your need to want to help
people.....but we have to be careful.........example......I too sell
things........do you know what it is?????? There are only 2-3 people on
this list that know what I sell, it's aquarium related...........I'm trying
very hard to follow the rules without stepping on any toes. I won't mention
it because that's the rules..........my advertising is done elsewhere.....no
anger here Mike, you were just trying to help the fellow.....I heard that in
your tone....but let people find out about what and where you sell thing in
places other than here........thanks.

Folks.......some help here!

Have a great day!

Mike
