low buffering capacity (i.e. KH) doesn't necessarily give low pH.
you still have to add acid. Buffering capacity just tells you how
resistant your system is to fluctuations. low KH means highly
sensitive to fluctuations or bounce unless you have some other
buffering component in the water. If you run straight RO water, your
water has no buffering capacity and is therefore very sensitive to pH
fluctuations.
