I have been hit with this, its was infected with W32_BadTrans.B worm. Its a standard internet mail worm, but is particularly nasty and embedded itself in by DLL files and windows "kernels". I'm no PC expert, but to me that seems like a good reason to keep your virus software up to date. I feel it may have got to some list members from me, which I appologise for greatly. My system was not up to date, and the virus reaked havoc for 48 hours before I could dispose of it.
