OK.. here's my 2 cent.. I agree with John with 1 & 2 but on the third point
.. I have kept two pairs of Hongsloi 2 in a 20 GL long..(heavily planted and
with a piece of drift wood and java moss) the dominant male spawned with
both females and the extra male acted as the dither.  The only time I had a
problem was when both females came out with fry at the same time, than they
tried to steal the fry from each other.. at this point I caged (in a breeder
basket) one of the female...this method produced lots and lots of fry!!!
