Re: Reconstituting RO/DI Water/ RO Water comes in at 5.5pH

(like when I find fish swimming contently with a
reading in the low
3's!).

Ditto. I keep most of my tanks with a very low pH and
I never add any stuff to it. No tap water no nothing.
If anything I want to use Oak leaves to lower my pH
further. I think we have read to many books telling
uis to add tapwater, or RO right etc. My well water
comes out pH 4.5 and goes to the 3's in no time. BTW I
also never worry about egg eating, and even sensitive
Apistos like candidi and Dicrosus spawn for me like
guppys. Hmmmm and dont forget those water changes and
heavy plant growth, hmmmm
