Agassizii Yellow tail turns Orange-Red

Question folks,
  was I taken or what? I bought a pair of yellow tail Aggies about a month 
ago at one of my LFS's.

  They spawned a couple weeks after I had them and them seem to be doing real 
well. So well, that the male has actually just about doubled in size. He now 
looks just like my other male double red. Only problem with that was when I 
first bought them it was because they were different. He had a very Yellow 
tail. Now his tail is almost red more orange-red like the double red. Was 
this ever really a yellow tail? Do you think someone has taken to dying Aggie 
tails or something?
  Just curious?
