snacking viejetas

Hi Mike - you might have the answer for this.

I pulled 10 remaining eggs when the mother started to eat them and put them
in a breeder trap in the same tank. None of the eggs developed (none
fungused either). But a few grew into those sausage-shaped masses of pink
tissue that I've always assumed to be mal-formed embryos.

Do you know if this means the eggs were fertilised? I assumed that they must
have been to get the eggs developing at all, but with fish I don't really
know.

Cheers
