I had a severe infestation in my borellii tank and in my
angelfish tank a little while ago.  Thanks to the advice I
got here, hydras are all gone now.

As for hydra's predation issue, I must say I did not see
that to be a problem in my borellii tank.  All my borellii
fry came through the outbreak and the subsequent medication
of Fluke tabs unscathed.  Mama fish was really good at
keeping the fry away from the hydras and she was also
pecking at quite a few hydra - her attempt to get rid of it?

Fluke tabs did not affect borellii, mother fish or the fry.
However, the freshly laid angelfish eggs were quickly and
completely wiped out with the medication.
