This may be a stupid question, but what about leaving the fry in the tank 
like a colony type situation?  Does that shorten the life the same way?  I 
have a colony of cacs and borellis and when the babies are little the mom 
doesn't spawn again.  My rams where I steal the fry spawn every three weeks 
like clock work.  Would these fish spawn repeatedly in the wild? Thanks,
