Hello, I don't really know why I do it the way I do.  I always move some fry 
to a small five gallon bare bottom where they are easier to see and get food 
to.  Then, when they are a little larger, I move them to a thirty gallon grow 
out.  The parents stay in a ten with substrate and plants.  I guess I don't 
like the looks of a bare bottom tank and the rams are in my bedroom cause I 
like to look at them a lot.  The bare bottom tanks are in the garage.  I am 
not trying to sell a method, I am just muddling around.  Sometimes what I do 
is just dictated by my own peculiarities.  Thanks, Teresa
