Re: Wild Caught Fish

I've only 1 question, Jerry. Why would you put new
fish - wild or domestic - in with fish you already
had??? I quarantine all my fish - no matter who or
where they come from - for a minimum of 6 weeks
before putting them in with other fish. I'm still
quarantining my fish from the ACA. All were wild
caught. I've lost only 1, about a week after
getting home. The rest are fat & healthy. I'm sure
that I could have put them in established tanks
right away, but patience means that I can't
remember the last time I had disease problems in
my tanks.

Go ahead and buy only domestically raised fish
(although I've seen them come in with problems,
too). That's fine with me. It just lets Big John,
Yvan, & me have a better chance at picking up some
really nice fish that you won't want to buy. :-)
