Yes, you are right on both counts. Oliver has several sources for Brazilian
fish, not just European breeders. He is the only real source that I know about
in North America that is willing to pay the price & offer wild & unusual fish.
Unfortunately, most people in the USA can't afford to inspection costs, etc. to
justify bringing in 2 or 3 new species. Oliver's fish are well worth the prices
he asks. Unfortunately as you say, "Its really too bad that too many ppl [in
the USA] are so friggin cheap." What I don't understand is why Rift Lake
cichlid hobbyists will pay almost anything for their fish, but other hobbyists
will not.

Well, I'm off to Norway for the week. I'm sure you will all survive a week
without my snide comments.
