Ghazanfar,

I looked at your latest photos. It certainly is
not A. pleurotaenia, a species
that is known only from female type specimens with
4 anal spines. Your fish have
3. It is definitely a resticulosa-complex species.
It has all of the diagnostic
feature for this species-complex.  It is not A.
sp. Wangenflecken/Cheek-spots.
Cheek-spots has a lateral band that ends in Bar 6.
Your fish's band end in Bar
7. My best guess is that it is a form of A.
taeniata Type 1. I cannot be certain
which one it is from the photos, however.
Koslowski pictures about a dozen
similar species (A. resticulosa & A. taeniata) in
his book. Caudal spot varies with form. If I were
you I
would just call it "A. cf. taeniata".
