I'm all for archiving! Thanks for pitching in and helping this list out, Francis. Please advise how we should procede to build a list of Apisto species. I have Linke & Staeck and the latest Aqualog book. Apart from the fish listed in those references, we know about A. sp. "Pandurini", the blue sky apisto imported for the first time (from Peru?) last year A. sp. "Puerto-Narino", which Kathryn Knudsen wrote about A. sp. "Schwarzsaum", which she also mentioned -- these last two are similar to A. sp. "Rotpunkt" and she said all three are bridge species between A. macmasteri and A. regani. Do you want us to list current inventories of fish we're keeping? I did this when I first joined the list, but the population changes frequently. Here's what I now have: Apistogramma agassizii A. bitaeniata A. cacatuoides A. elizabethae A. gibbiceps A. gossei A. hongsloi A. hyppolitae A. juruensis A. macmasteri A. nijsseni A. norberti A. sp. "Breitbinden" A. sp. "Four stripe" A. sp. "Pandurini" A. sp. "Rotpunkt" A. sp. "Schwarzsaum" (I think -- the tank is pretty overgrown) A. resticulosa (first Apistos I bred and still among my favorites) A. steindachneri A. trifasciata Non- Apistos: Anomalochromis thomasi Laetacara curviceps L. dorsiger L. sp. "Buckelkopf" L. thayeri Pelvicachromis aff. pulcher Pete Johnson || If wishes were fishes San Jose, CA || we'd all have ponds. ============ Reminder: Kindly quote parsimoniously when replying ============= This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@aquaria.net.
