Hi Kaj!

Your friend probably got hold of Ap. sp. "Tucurui". I've been looking
for that species since I first saw it in Linke & Staeck's book. It has
quite a unique look. There's also pictures of it in the Aqualog, South
American Cichlids II.

Linke & Staeck state that it is fairly easy to keep and breed. It seems
to be appearing quite frequently in the US but very rare here in Sweden.
Let's hope your friend is successful and manages to spread them around...
