I decided to separate the last clutch of A. cucatoides from their mother, as she was in a community tank. I set up a ten gallon tank and matched temperature, pH, and hardnessto the source tank. I then transfered the fry by picking up the flowerpot they were in and moving the whole lot at once. They have been eating for a week now, and tend to lie and slide aroound on the bottom, swimming up for only very brief periods of time. I guess this is what they call "belly sliders". Any idea what may have caused this condition? This is the first time I have set them up without using at least 50% of the fry tanks water from the source tank, and the first time I have seen this problem. I thought I was doing them a favor by using completely fresh water. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks Bob
