Yeah, Robert, it is a long, drawnout, discussion, but have you noticed the
number of differing opinions?  What bothers me is that, while some opinions
are based on personal experience, and are pretty much agreed that Algae
eaters are at best , a pain, and at worst, dangerous, some other opinions are
based on magazine articles and books, and these feel that Algae eaters are
cool, useful fish.  There is something to be learned about the usefulness of
mailing lists like this and Boards like JAWS and Fishlink Central.
 Meanwhile, I still have not found any Venezualan Ramshorns, because the
conversation has turned  to Algae Eaters.  THis is kind of like a bunch of
guys and gals sitting around over coffee and Cokes, discussing their common
interest, ie fish, only drawn out over days instead of an hour or two.
Hang in there and learn.
