By the way guys(ladies too :-) ).....the original female A.gibbiceps has
BIG eyes for the largest male from her 1st brood (I put him in with her
3-4 days ago)..........he is 2" and fiesty but has a world to go to
catch up to his PAPA.......3 1/2" and as thick as your
thumb........yellow from the lower chin down to and through the diagonal
stripes.....nifty truncated tail and just as proud as could be....till
mama took over.......she was, and still is, only 2/3rds his length and
1/2 his girth....but oh my when she had some fry....she must be
Italian!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I heard this one.........when the apisto females start
laying eggs their growth is a done deal.....comments???
