I've had angels with aggies before.  It wasn't a problem.. The angels were
bottom fish and the angels stayed in the mid-range.  In a 55, the angels may
even be able to spawn without any serious injuries if the tank is crowded
with plants, rocks, etc.  Certainly you have enough time to set up or
rearrange another tank to fit it all in.
