Hi to everybody !

air driven sponge filters are very simple to use and quite ok for small tanks. I
used them (TETRA) for small and medium sized tanks (up to 100 l). Compared to
those new aquaclear and powerhead driven sponge filters they are much to
expensive and seem to be old fashioned to me. If you use it for a single tank the
costs for filter + an reliable air pump are much higher than a powerhead driven
filter.

Further i have made the experience that these air driven filter raise the pH
because of carbon dioxide stripping. That is the reason why i changed filters.
