Hi Bob Thanks for the reply.I have had this aquarium setup and cycled for 2 months with an Eheim canister filter and 6 SAE which were removed when I suspected that a spawning was imminent and the day of the spawn I added a sponge filter which has been cycling in another tank. This morning the male is still protecting the eggs which have stiil not gone white and he chases the female away when she comes near the eggs.Do you think this is a sign that I should remove the female and let him care for the eggs on his own?
